I tried to make something fun, flexible and appealing. It was influence a bit by The Muppets and Sesame Street. He's got a nice stretchy IK/FK spine and stretchy/scaleable limbs with bendy controls and knee/elbow slide. The facial setup is flexible and is hopefully quite intuitive to use.

Willy was made in maya 2012. I think it also works in 2011 and 2010 but only works in 2009 if it is the service pack 1 version (im not certain of that though). Pre 2009 i assume it won't work. Also i have noticed a fairly big performance gain in the playback fps with 64bit 2012 compared to 32 bit 2009, so if you are using an older maya version consider upgrading for optimum use.

Willy was made with the help of the excellent Ready Rig auto rig script by Mahendra Gangalwar. I looked through a lot of auto rig scripts before finding Ready Rig. It has the flexible features i was looking for, was easy to set up and Mahendra (Manish) was super helpful in adding some extra things i needed. I highly recommend it.
